The attack crippled operations at Nichirei and its subsidiaries, including major clients such as Ezaki Glico. Glico, maker of Pocky snack sticks, is particularly affected by the disruption.
Up to 20% of its ice cream products have been delayed, with some stores in western Japan facing temporary shortages.
